Usually I like to talk if I have an audience. I like to be at the spot lights and standing on the stage, I like to see the faces of the people trying to understand everything I’m talking about. The reason I said usually is because about two weeks ago I first felt the stomach ache that most people have before they start talking.
We had a really important presentation that week at the MiLab, we presented our project to a lot of amazing companies such as Microsoft, Amdocs, PrimSence etc… Our team was the first to talk and I was the first to present the team idea, for a few moments there I could feel my heart beating and my voice was shaking for the first few seconds. It made me feel thankful for the fact I have this opportunity to do it as a student and not in the real life for the first time. Well to be honest it made think about a lot more than that. Like I said at the previous post, this project is like having a baby on the way, the movie was the first ultrasound, and when I stood there on the stage in front of all of those people I thought about how much I would like to have this baby for real, OK, enough with the images, I meant to a real project!
About a month ago I went to hear Ishay Green lecture in the “CS for real” course we have at our school. I think one of the biggest things I learned from this lecture was to try and understand what you are good at and go to this direction. This experience at the Lab is teaching me a lot about my better and not so good abilities.
